February 20-22, 2025 - At Sea

Dear friends and family,

Sea days have a way of blending relaxation with excitement, and these days are no exception. This gives time to read, enjoy Afternoon Tea, take naps, sit out on my balcony, or visit with new friends over a drink.

Dinner last night was arranged by Sonja and featured Dosa, an Indian menu that takes overnight for the chef to prepare the batter. I always look forward to trying some new flavors.

Another day brought facials with Carla, Margie, and Sonja. We were radiant. Dionne, Carla, and I took a photography class from the ship’s photographer and learned a lot about lighting and positioning. Victoria had been trying to teach us this all along.

My brother Ted lived with me last February for one very short week. I reflected on his passing on February 22, the joys and challenges of having him as my next older brother. Now I am the oldest of us four remaining siblings where there once were seven.

These quiet days at sea are such a gift.

With love and a sprinkle of serenity and solemnity,
Chris
