January 18, 2025 - At Sea

Dear friends and family,

Like many others on the ship, the close quarters and coughing caught up with me over past couple of days. I am very good at self-isolating. Ventured out today, even to infirmary. No Covid or Influenza but checked the boxes for Bronchitis. The doctor prescribed an entire bag of antibiotics, inhalers, etc. Feeling so much better already.

I enjoyed tonight’s steak and lobster dinner. Skipped the starter of Escargot just because I didn’t want that much food. Forgot to take pictures.

Tonight’s entertainment was The Kings of Soul and Swing.

The live music and shows in the Princess Theater and dance bands in the bars have been such a highlight. I had forgotten how much I love it. Even with Afternoon Tea there is usually a duet on amplified violin and guitar playing classical variations of pop tunes.

This ship has so much to do on the At Sea days. Trivia, cards, knitting, pickleball, gym activities, Pictionary, jewelry and art sales, various salon demonstrations, dance classes, two different choirs, dance classes, swimming pools, hot tubs, drinking, AA meetings, visiting with new friends, to name several. If anyone is bored, it’s their own fault. One can also just sit and people watch.

With love,
Chris
