March 11, 2025 - At Sea

Dear friends and family,

Today was a restful sea day, giving me the chance to reflect on the incredible experiences in Cape Town. In the morning I attended a lecture about Namibia’s unique geography and history, which has me even more excited for tomorrow’s adventure in Walvis Bay.

The afternoon brought Afternoon Tea. My friends Margie and Sonja took pity on me after so many of my young dining companions departed in Cape Town. They invited me join their table along with Bill and Deanna, Steve and Carol, and sisters Loraine and Carol, in the Provence Dining Room. It was fun to share our African adventures. These days at sea are a perfect opportunity to recharge.

[I’m working hard on catching up with this blog. It’s 11:15 pm. Tomorrow, April 15, will be in Villefrance, where one can go to Nice and Monte Carlo. It marks four years since I loved into my beautiful condo in Edmonds, WA.]
