March 4-8, 2025 - At Sea

Dear friends and family,

After the beauty of Mauritius, March 4 was a peaceful day at sea. On the 5th, Jaz participated in the Voice of the Ocean and won by singing beautifully with great emotion and hitting all the high notes in a Whitney Houston song.

One of the evening performances in the Princess Theater was a Freddie Mercury Tribute. It is really a treat to hear so many fabulous singers and the Island Princess Orchestra.

On the 7th, our group enjoyed one of our specialty lunches at the Salty Dog in the Crown Grill to have one of several last meals with Carla who is leaving us in Cape Town. For Afternoon Tea Sonja arranged for a fabulous cake, rather than our usual scones with whipped cream and jam. We sure will miss Carla.

Our final sea day before reaching Cape Town was filled with excitement and preparation. I treated myself with a pamper massage in the Lotus Spa. In the evening we had a special request dinner for Carla.

I went to bed anticipating arriving at one of the trip’s most iconic destinations, with the promise of new adventures on the horizon.
